Our Point Pet of the Week is a one-year old Terrier Mix.

The Monmouth County SPCA says Champ Luke is playful and endearing. And when he's done with playing, he loves to relax and cuddle on the couch.

Champ was sadly surrendered to the MCSPCA from a lovely man in Neptune who was entering a nursing home and could no longer care for him.

Champ is part of the MCSPCA's foster program and his foster mom can't say enough good things about him. Champ knows his commands, adores everyone he meets, and loves to play with his toys and tennis balls in the yard.

This sweet dog looks so much healthier these days. He's gained back some much-needed weight that he lost with the stress of shelter life. What a handsome boy!

Do you like running, hiking, or long walks? Champ Luke does, too! He is always ready for an activity with his new best friend. Could that be you?

Champ needs a Forever Home...and many more pets who get stressed by shelter life need foster parents until their forever homes are found.

If you are interested in saving more lives through the MCSPCA's foster program by fostering a dog in need, email Jill at fostering@monmouthcountyspca.org for more info.

If you'd like to meet Champ, call an adoption counselor at the Eatontown location of the MCSPCA so that they can arrange to have Champ be at the shelter when you arrive.
