Did George Washington Dine at This Historic New Jersey Restaurant?

Even though it can't be proven, there is a restaurant in New Jersey that most likely served a meal to George Washington

You have to travel far back in the history books to link an American President to a New Jersey restaurant, and even when you do, there isn't ironclad proof it happened.

But there is a strong suspicion that our nation's first Commander-in-Chief dined at one New Jersey restaurant. We researched the story.

The restaurant that Washington may have eaten at is the Rocky Hill Inn in Rocky Hill, and their website does address the possibility.

While they claim there is circumstantial evidence, such as the fact that Washington stayed in Rocky Hill at the time when the Rocky Hill Inn was the only pub nearby, there is no hard evidence.

We hope it's true, since that would be an amazing piece of history, and this restaurant seems like an awesome place to eat.

But George Washington is not the only brush with fame they've experienced at the Rocky Hill Inn. He was never the President, but Guy Fieri is a popular guy.

Guy Fieri visited the Rocky Hill Inn as part of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Episode 9 of Season 25, and he loved what he saw, heard, and tasted.

We don't know if our first President ate at Rocky Hill Inn, but based on what Guy Fieri said, we think George Washington would have loved it.
