New York Giants superstar Victor Cruz paid tribute to a young boy who lost his life in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy during yesterday's game.

Cruz, who found out that he was Jack Pinto's favorite player, visited the family shortly after the tragedy to pay his respects. He has stayed in contact with the family, and during yesterday's game, he payed tribute to Jack by writing his name on the cleats he used during the game, according to usatoday.com.

Cruz had done something similar during a game last year as well to pay tribute to Jack. That occurred just days after the tragic shooting. The one year anniversary of the shooting was this past Saturday.

It makes me proud as a Giants fan that a guy like Victor Cruz is so sincere and genuine and follows his heart like that. He can make a small difference for a family which has suffered so much, and he does.
