Don't let that scoreboard fool you. Last night was a wonderful night at CitiField for a Mets game.

No, the Mets didn't win their game against the Philadelphia Phillies. And, no they didn't increase their lead over the Washington Nationals. But what happened at last night's Mets game is exactly what's supposed to happen at a baseball game.

Families and friends got together on a hot summer night to cheer, and laugh, and occasionally grimace about a baseball game. In other words, take part in the age old tradition of making memories that will last a lifetime at the ballpark.

I was sitting there with my Mom and Dad on my left, and Diane and my good friend Terry on my right, and our favorite baseball team right in front of us. That's a great night, no matter what the scoreboard says.

As you looked around, you saw plenty of moms and dads making memories with and for their kids. And no matter how old, those memories will always be there. Sure, I want a win just like the next Mets fan, but sometimes life gives you little victories that don't show up on the scoreboard. I like those even more.
