Now, unfortunately, not everyone will have that response, and will instead share this suddenly learned "fact." Like so many things that are blindly shared on Facebook, a bit of common sense will keep you from looking like an idiot to your family and friends.

Let's discuss in mind-numbing detail: Halloween falls on October 31st. Every single year. It does not matter if October 31st is a Tuesday, a Friday, a Saturday, or any other day of the week. If it's October 31st, it's Halloween. Conversely, Friday the 13th, will only ever happen on the 13th. Not the 12th, the 15th, or the 31st.(Additionally, that 13th must be on a Friday for it to be FRIDAY THE 13TH.)

The 13th will never be the 31st. Therefore, Halloween will not this year, nor any year in the future, be able to fall on Friday the 13th.

For the record, October 31st, 2015 is a Saturday.
