We have seen enough about hurricanes here at the Jersey Shore to know to keep our eyes on just about any tropical disturbances in the Atlantic. So what do we need to know about Dorian?

We turn to our Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow to find out what we need to know, and at the time of this publication, the storm was stalled over the Northern Bahamas and is expected to parallel the coastlines of Florida, Georgia and South Carolina through tomorrow.

What about the Garden State? Yes, we will have some weather impacts as well as surf impacts, but Dan calls the possibility of a direct hit on New Jersey "highly unlikely" but continues to monitor the situation.

We may get some Thursday showers due to the storm, and on Friday we could have gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph, rough surf and possible coastal flooding.

We continue to hope for the best for those affected by this powerful storm, and we urge you to always stay up to date with our latest weather conditions here in the Garden State with the latest from Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow.
