The strong winds started last night and they greet us again this morning. So what are we in for today and how long will it last?

We start the day with a High Wind Warning in effect for all of Monmouth & Ocean Counties with the possibility of wind gusts that could approach 60 mph during the day today.

The High Wind Warning will remain in effect for the entire work day and won't expire until 6:00pm today. In the meantime, we start the day with branches, debris, and even garbage and recycling bins making their way onto Jersey Shore roadways.

Our Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says while the winds will start to die down late in the day today, but even after that, Dan says the winds won't die down completely until tomorrow (Tuesday).

And this blast of wind will have some colder temperatures behind it, meaning a the last week of February, will very very much like, well, February. He expects highs to only be in the 30's for basically the rest of the work week.
