Rating Summer 2013 is such a tough thing to do. Everything from sheer joy to sheer heartbreak this summer make it difficult to answer the question.

Just one car or boat ride this summer brought the widest range of emotions possible for anyone who lives at or just loves the Jersey Shore. One moment you were passing a party or a family get together, and a minute later you were heading by a devastated home.

You were just as likely to come across a beautiful home with a family enjoying a Jersey Shore summer as you were to see a construction crew tearing down a home or starting the process of elevating one.

From a business perspective, some areas had a better season than others for obvious reasons. The progress in some areas was impressive, but in others it was disappointing.
