Howell man who has autism hasn’t been seen in nearly three weeks
Howell Township Police have issued a missing persons alert for a 22-year old who was last seen at home nearly three weeks ago.
Yasin Barrett was reported missing by family on June 1st, police said, and was last seen on May 19th at his residence in the Toscana residential development off Fort Plains Road, but did not take his cell phone or wallet with him.
Police said that Yasin is autistic and is high functioning.
"He has gone missing previously but only for a few days. He was previously found in NYC. This is the longest he has not been seen or heard from."
Knowing that, Howell Police said they have been in communication with the NYPD and Port Authority over the last week to try and find Barrett.
Police also checked his residence and searched through his social media accounts which didn't show any activity taking place.
Officers also searched behind his residence along with fire volunteers, a drone and a police service dog.
If you have any information about Yasin Barrett and where he might be, contact Howell Police at 732-938-4111 or dial 9-1-1 within the jurisdiction of Howell.
