Navy Sailor From Howell Sends Us A Shout Out From The Ukraine

A Howell native is in the middle of completing something rather amazing.

His name is Michael Sisilack and this brave Sailor sent us all a shout out while he is currently serving in Ukraine as part of the multinational maritime, Exercise Sea Breeze 2019.

What is the Exercise Sea Breeze?

The annual event will last until July 21st and is when "naval forces from 19 nations contribute in the annual exercise co-hosted by the Ukrainian and U.S. Navies aiming to improve interoperability while promoting regional security and peace."

Members of the Navy will focus on multiple warfare areas which include air defense, anti-submarine warfare, damage control, search and rescue and amphibious operations in this vital region of the world.

This year's participants come from all over the world:  Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Georgia, Germany, Moldova, Norway, Turkey, Ukraine and U.S., along with Algeria, Bangladesh, Israel, Portugal, Qatar, Sweden, and UAE, as observers.
