Sea Breeze – Cocktail of the Week
The snow is still coming down, and I'm officially over the cold. Let's think summer!
This week's cocktail will have you feeling like your one step closer to those toes in the sand!
The Seaside St. Patrick's Day parade is tomorrow, so for Seaside, a Sea Breeze!
This cocktail of the week couldn't be easier:
- 1.5 oz vodka
- 3 oz. cranberry juice
- 1.5 oz. grapefruit juice
You can do this the really easy way, or the less easy way. Either fill a glass, pour the ingredients in and stir, or...pour the ingredients into a shaker with ice, give it a shake until it gets a little foamy (like sea foam, get it?), and pour it into a glass. Done.
Should you feel the need to get fancy and garnish, a slice of grapefruit or orange will work, or make a 'flag' by putting a lime wedge and cherry on a toothpick.
I love using ruby red grapefruit juice to make it a little sweeter and more pink.
Obviously you can use more grapefruit than cranberry and vice versa depending on your tastes...why not give it a try with a cranberry or grapefruit-flavored vodka, too?
Cheers!
