Thin Mint Martini – Cocktail of the Week

It's Friday, and it's 5 o'clock somewhere...time for the cocktail of the week!

It's Girl Scout cookie season and on top of that, the many area St. Patrick's Day festivities start with this weekend's parade in Belmar.

This week, it's all about the 'Thin Mint' martini, inspired by the famous Girl Scout cookie.

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. vanilla vodka
1 oz. green creme de menthe
1 oz. clear creme de cacao
1 oz. cream

Shake all ingredients over ice. Strain into chilled martini glass rimmed with crushed Thin Mint cookies. (Dip the glass into chocolate syrup to make the cookie crumbs stick.)

This is a kicked up version of the standard grasshopper cocktail. Obviously you can tailor the amount of each ingredient to suit your taste. This drink is festively green and tastes like a cookie. Can't beat it!
