I've been accused of holding on to summer too long. I plead guilty to that. But now I've embraced the fall. The weather is beautiful. I'm ready to welcome Halloween, and I'll even start thinking about Thanksgiving. But now they've gone too far.

Just as I had turned the corner and began to get used to the beginning of fall, I made the mistake of going shopping. At a local store, I passed all the Halloween decorations and candy, and there it was sitting on the lowest shelf. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Popcorn. I kid you not. In a decorative tin container. I'm not ready for this.

I feel like I'm being rushed. I don't want to buy Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Popcorn yet. Sure, the tin had beautiful artwork on it that included fluffy snow. But I'm not ready for fluffy snow. Actually, I'm more ready for Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Popcorn than I am snow, and I'm definitely not ready for Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Popcorn.

I just admitted to myself  it's fall. Can I have a minute to get used to it before anybody starts guiding anybody's sleigh?
