It’s A World Record That Belongs To New Jersey
It's always great when a Guinness World Record belongs to New Jersey. Here's one that belongs to us that you may not know about.
If someone came up to you and said, "Do you know the world record for 'most wooden train whistles being blown at the same time'", would you know what to say. If you know the answer, then you have done New Jersey proud.
That record happens to belong to the town of Chatham. They set the record last June, as part of the celebration of the centennial of their train station, and they just found out in December that they were the official record holder. 1,127 people participated in the event, according to nj.com.
The next New Jersey world record could come when Six Flags Great Adventure Safari Warden Mike Miller attempts to break the Guinness record for longest karaoke marathon. He'll attempt that in March.
