Summer 2023 would be a lot better without these outdated beach rules!

Memorial Day is a little over one month away!

Pretty soon, everyone in Ocean County will be flocking to the beach!  It's truly the best time of the year at the Jersey Shore.

We're so lucky to live in an area with beautiful beaches and so much to do during the summertime.  But, let's face it, some changes need to be made.

There are some old Ocean County beach rules that need to be put to bed once and for all!  I'm sure you've sat on the beach and have wondered how other beach states can get away without the laws that New Jersey has in place.

I know what you're thinking.  These laws are in place for safety reasons!  And who's going to pay for all of this?

There's no denying the importance of safety, especially at the beach.  People of all ages enjoy the beaches for relaxation.  Some rules are needed to be sure that everyone can have an enjoyable environment.

But there's also room for efficiency and compromise.  I think some of these laws are a little too strict, and some of them can be tweaked in a way to make things more fun and exciting.  I'm certainly not a lawmaker, but I do have some ideas on how we can fix this.

Plus, changing some of these rules might bring more tourists, which would be a welcomed boost to our local economy.

With summer 2023 right around the corner, there's no better time than now to make these changes.
