We've all spent some spare time asking our smart speaker stupid questions to see what it would say. You know, "How old are you, Alexa?' or "Siri, can you tell me a good mom joke?"

But, according to USA Today, there are a few things you really shouldn't ask your smart device. Here are 5 of them

1- How Do You Do CPR?

CPR is never a joking matter. When you need it or need to perform it, there is a life on the line. In about 2 hours, you could learn how to perform CPR from an accredited Red Cross instructor.

USA Today says that you’re better off not asking Siri, Google, or Alexa for any medical advice – not just lifesaving advice.

2- Where Can You Hide a Body?

Don't be an idiot. It's never smart to ask a smart speaker something that could be used against you later, such as where to buy drugs, how to steal a car, or where to hide a body. Do you even need to get advice about stuff this simple?

3- How Can I Hurt Someone?

Sure, we know you were just kidding when you asked Siri how to break your neighbor's arm, but the authorities might not see it that way.

I read something a few years ago in The Guardian about how Apple contractors working with smart speakers regularly hear confidential conversations, drug deals, and recordings of couples having sex, as part of their job providing quality control.

Is it true? I don't know and I don't want to find out the hard way.

4- Can You Connect Me to My Bank Account?

Your Alexa is capable of making this connection, but it's not worth it. Have you been paying attention? Some savvy cybercriminals could hack into your phone, steal your voice, and drain your accounts. So much for how technology would improve our lives, huh?

5- Will I Die If I Eat This?

If you have to ask, it's probably a possibility.

If you're on a hike wondering if the berries you found would make a good snack, voice assistants aren't reliable sources, and taking their advice could land you a trip to the hospital.
