Just when you think Snooki and The Situation are gone, they keep popping back up... kinda like a boardwalk game of whack-a-mole! MTV has teased 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation'. The reunion series will air next year, featuring Deena Cortese, “Pauly D” Delvecchio,” Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. So far, Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola is not mentioned in the revival lineup.

This is separate from the Jersey Shore reunion special taped this past summer. Sammi was around for 'Road Trip Reunion: Return To the Jersey Shore', which aired on E! in August. Most of the cast also reunited earlier this fall, at Deena's October wedding in Ocean County at Laurita Winery.

Sorrentino has been busy sharing the revival news on social media. It seems to be keeping his mind off the tax fraud & evasion charges that he and his brother both face. Sorrentino was last in federal court in April. The duo are accused of dodging millions in taxes through false returns and claiming luxury cars and clothing as business expenses.

Another wildcard is ex-Shore housemate, Angelina Pivarnick. She left after lots of fighting in season 2 and has since become an FDNY EMT. But, the one-time reality star also shared MTV's announcement on Twitter, which had fans confused as to whether she'd be showing up to the family reunion.

For New Jersey locals, maybe the funniest part of this announced reunion is how snarky the cast has been about a younger crop of MTV Shore stars. The reunion was announced during MTV's new beach debacle show, 'Floribama Shore'. A group of 20-somethings invade move into an resort town (this time, Panama City Beach), with a few alleged locals among its cast. The Seaside Heights crew is now all 30 and older, and three have young kids of their own, as some have pointed out on Twitter:

But, Snooki seems determined to prove she's still got some drunken outbursts left, as she assured fans in a tweet that she still can funnel wine and do cartwheels on the dance floor.

Now the big question looms- will this be a Jersey Shore Family Stay-cation?
