When I first read the headline that chocolate milk was banned in New York City schools, my first thought was, "What in the heck, why?!"

But then I scrolled and began to read and the reasoning behind it does kind of make sense.

According to the article I stumbled upon, chocolate milk, "contributes to hyper activity, obesity and diabetes." Now yes, it is true. Chocolate milk is not the healthiest option out there.

But one major concern crosses my mind: having kids, especially those picky eaters, get the necessary amounts of calcium and vitamin D can be tricky and chocolate milk is an excellent option.

So our days of pretending that chocolate milk is healthy may be over, but there are also upsides to keeping chocolate milk around.

So, you have heard both points. Now you decide.
