‘Jersey Shore’ Star Getting New TV Show
Brace yourselves...a star - and I use that term loosely - of MTV's Jersey Shore is getting a brand new show.
Entertainment Weekly reports Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino and his family will star in an 'unscripted' reality show called The Sorrentinos.
Eight episodes are expected, with production starting next week. The show will air on TV Guide Network with no premiere date set.
The show is going to focus on The Situation's battle with sobriety (He went to rehab for addiction to painkillers in 2012.) and also the dynamic of the Sorrentino family including The Situation's brothers Frank and Marc, sister Melissa, and mom Linda.
It is unclear where the family will film the show, but with home and business ties to Manalapan, Freehold, Howell, Middletown, and of course Seaside Heights...it's likely Monmouth and Ocean Counties will be a part of the action.
A preview clip shows us what we can expect...
No word if Snooki, JWoww, or the rest of his MTV castmates will make an appearance on the new show.
