
Lacey Police Officer Struck, Injured – Route 9 Reopened
Route 9 has been reopened in Lacey after a Township police officer was hit by a car while directing traffic following a three car accident on Lakeside Drive.
Police Chief William Nally confirms the officer suffered leg injuries and bumps to the head. The Patch of Lacey reports that the unidentified officer is “okay.”
The person who hit the officer is cooperating with police.
Route 9 was closed in both directions between Taylor Lane and Lakeside Drive while an investigation into the incident was conducted during the morning rush.
