Long Beach Island, NJ Restaurant Closes But With A Piece Of Good News
We have another Jersey Shore closure announcement but this time, there is bad news AND good news.
According to APP.com, Living on the Veg in Long Beach Island has announced they are closing after 17 years of business.
Rob and Lauren Ramos, the co-owners of the LBI joint, posted the news on their Facebook Page a few days ago.
BUT....now for that good news.
Check out their Facebook announcement below because like I said, there is some good news that comes with this story.
You see that last sentence?
"Luckily this isn't a forever goodbye, it's more of a 'We'll see you over the bridge."
Moving forward, the owners will simply be putting all of their time, energy and resources into their second Living on the Veg location at 657 East Bay Avenue in Manahawkin.
The vegetarian icon will live on so now let me tell you what they are all about.
This Jersey Shore local business offers vegetarian and vegan menu items ranging from breakfast burritos and avocado toast to smoothies, tacos and soup.
Living on the Veg has garnered quite the loyal fan base over the years.
“A lot of our core customers aren’t even vegetarian," said co-owner Rob Ramos according to APP.com. "They just like the idea that they can take meat off their plate for a couple days a week.”
Any closure is sad. But at least Living on the Veg will live to see another day.
We'll see you over the bridge, Rob and Lauren.
