Move for Hunger, a national non-profit group based in Neptune, is teaming up with college-lifestyle site Universities-Finest for a bar crawl to benefit The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

The UCRAWL bar crawl will kick off at noon on Saturday, April 27th at Johnnie Mac's House of Spirits on Main St. in Asbury Park.

Crawlers will visit nine Asbury watering holes including: The Annex, Baca, Brickwall, Ivan and Andy's Prime, Old Man Rafferty's, Paradise, with the crawl ending at Porta at 8 p.m.

Pre-sale tickets are $25 each and will be available for purchase during registration the day of the event for $30. Group discounts are available.

Participants will receive a UCRAWL Asbury Park Edition t-shirt and free food. There will also be live music, drink specials, and the chance to win prizes throughout the day.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Move for Hunger, which works to pick up unwanted and unopened food from people who are moving and don’t plan to take that food with them. They then bring it to local food banks across the country.

Crawlers are urged to bring non-perishable food donations to registration. Move for Hunger will deliver the donations to the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Bar crawls can get a little crazy, but they are a ton of fun, and a great way to meet new people. They're especially cool when they're for a good cause!
