Look for the Strawberry Moon Tonight in New Jersey
It's June 20th, which means that today is the summer solstice and longest day of the calendar year, but there is another celestial reason that today is unique.
Tonight is a full moon, and according to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the first time that the full moon and solstice have fallen on the same day in almost 70 years! June's full moon is known as the Full Strawberry moon, named after the Algonquin tribes who used the event as a signal to gather ripening fruit.
