Michael Update – What You Need To Know At The Jersey Shore
The Jersey Shore will be dealing with what remains of Michael today and tonight, and here's what you need to know.
While our area will not remotely deal with the devastation so many others suffered due to Michael, we will have some of its impacts affecting us over the next 24 hours. Here are some details.
Rain. There will be some periods of rain tonight, some could be heavy, but the heavier, steadier rain will be tonight.
Wind. The winds will be strong and gusty over the next 24 hours, with gusts up to 25mph today, and up to 40mph inland tonight, and possibly up to 50mph tonight along the coast.
Flash Flood Watch. It's in effect from 1:00 p.m. today (Thursday) through 5:00 a.m. tomorrow, and it's for all of Monmouth & Ocean Counties.
Our meteorologist Dan Zarrow says to be prepared for a cool down after the storm passes, with temperatures potentially dropping into the 40's tomorrow (Friday) night.
