Mom Drives Off With Her 5-Week-Old Baby On Roof

A 19-year-old woman has been arrested after accidentally(!) driving off while her 5-week-old baby boy was asleep in his car seat on the roof.

The car seat eventually fell off and landed in the middle of an intersection.

Luckily, witnesses saw the car seat and called authorities before the baby was harmed.

ABC News reports that Carolina Clouser was smoking marijuana with her boyfriend and friends earlier in the night.

After leaving with her boyfriend and baby to go on a beer run, the boyfriend was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Clouser was apparently so upset by this, she went to a friend's house to smoke more weed.

She left the home around midnight, forgetting that she put her baby on the roof of the car.

Once she got home and realized the baby wasn't there, she drove back, where she encountered the police who found her child.

She's been charged with child abuse and aggravated assault.

The baby was taken to the hospital as a precaution, and is now in the care of Child Protective Services.
