Great Monmouth County, NJ Diner Takes You Back 60 Years
There are so many great little spots to discover all over Monmouth & Ocean Counties, and we found a really good one in Monmouth County.
When you're talking diners at the Jersey Shore, saying there's a good one around every corner is not only true, it's an understatement. Nobody does diners better than we do.
We found a really cute place that is definitely worth a try in Farmingdale. It's been a diner for many, many years, and has had some renovations and theme changes over the years. and these days, it's a really fun place to eat.
And it's a place where you can transport back in time to the 50s and 60s. And these days that seem to be a trip into simpler times.
So, where is this really cool, unique place? It's JB's Diner on Route 33 in Farmingdale. And if you haven't been there, you should check it out.
You get greeted by Elvis, Betty Boop, and Marilyn Monroe before you get past the foyer. You know you're in for some fun. That's a lot of celebrity power in one place.
And if this is what the foyer looks like, the inside must be great. And it was well done on the inside as well.
And the inside decorations really are just as cool. Blue neon stretches around the restaurant and the oldies are blasting. It's a little bit like a food time machine.
And speaking of the food, I ordered up a Reuben because I hadn't had one in a while. maybe I had St. Patty's Day on my mind, and it was excellent.
Good food, a fun atmosphere, and a little throwback music. I enjoyed it, and I think you will, too. So, on your next diner tour, hit JB's. And have an extra cup of coffee if you're about to head on 33 toward Freehold.
We know how much fun that can be.
