With the Academy Awards just days away, we decided to look at some great Academy Award successes with ties to New Jersey.

Yesterday, we talked about some of the biggest Oscar success stories with ties to the Garden State and celebrated the successes of Meryl Streep. Jack Nicholson and Susan Sarandon.

Those names may have been the first to come to your mind as well, but they are certainly not the only ones. Let's take a look at some other New Jersey Academy Awards success stories.

Joe Pesci. The incredible actor has received two Academy Awards and took his only Oscar for 'Best Actor In A Supporting Role' for Goodfellas in 1991.

Anne Hathaway. She has been nominated twice, and has taken the Oscar home once for "Best Performance By An Actress In A Leading Role" for Les Miserables. Her other nomination was for "Best Actress In A Leading Role" in Rachel Getting Married.

John Travolta. Although he has never won an Oscar, he has been nominated twice, for "Best Actor In A Leading Role" for both Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction.

These wonderful performers have given Academy Awards fans in the Garden State some proud moments over the years, and of course there are many others. If you want to check out your favorite performers award history, check out IMDB.

And by the way, I want to give an Oscar shout out to Danny DeVito, who is one of my favorite New Jersey actors. In case you're wondering, his only Academy Award connection is for Erin Brokovich, which he produced. It was nominated for Best Picture in 2000, but did not win.
