Money seems to be the central reason in most cases. Everything is so expensive in New Jersey, and the price tags always seem to be rising.

The annual report, issued by United Van Lines says the state most people are moving out of is the Garden State, followed by Illinois and New York.

The states that people are moving to include, at #3, South Carolina, Delaware at number 2, and the #1 state on the list is West Virginia.
In case you're wondering, the data is nothing new for the Garden State. It's the 7th year in a row we placed in the top spot for residents moving out.
That means it was 2018 the last time New Jersey wasn't the state most people were moving out of, and that's a sobering fact.
As usual, it all comes down to the money in the Garden State. Otherwise, why would anyone ever leave?
