June 7th is a very important day in America. It's National Donut Day. Alright, it's not important, but it is pretty sweet, literally.

Battleview Orchards in Freehold

While Battleview is legendary for their pick-your-own farm, their country store is awesome. They press their own cider to make the best apple cider donut. They're fresh and homemade, so you can't go wrong.

OCEAN COUNTY

Obco's Donuts - Toms River

Obco's donuts are legendary at the Jersey Shore. I grew up in TR and remember my Dad making a mad Saturday morning rush to Fisher Boulevard and Obco's window. Why? Because it's well known that Obco's donuts are so popular, that they sell out quickly everyday. Luckily I grew up down the street. During the summer one must be up at the crack of dawn and ready to stand on line to get one of Obco's famous jelly donuts.
