New Jersey is the diner capital of the world, so which of our amazing diners is the oldest one in New Jersey?

With all those diners around, it can’t be easy to keep the business flourishing, so hearing about one that has been around longer than any other is a huge deal.

And there is, of course, one diner that has lasted longer than any other diner in the state's history.

Now, before we talk about what the website North Jersey says is the oldest diner in the state, we should mention it is not exactly unanimous.

But let’s talk about the one they say is the longest since it’s a pretty amazing story.

Celebrate One Of New Jersey's Oldest Diners

If you’ve been around for over 90 years, then you have to be in the oldest diner conversation, and that’s how long they’ve been at it at Bergen County’s Dumont Crystal Diner.

Although there is some discrepancy about the exact year it was built, it seems safe to say it was somewhere between the late 1920s and early 1930s, making this diner over 90 years old.

Three are other diners who started around the same time, but we don’t want to turn this into a debate. We want to celebrate a great diner that’s been around a long time.
