New Pastry Shop Opens in Red Bank

It's on Broad Street and it's called Alfonso's!

Alfonso's Pastry Shoppe and cafe takes the place of what was once Carlo's Bakery (#86 Broad St.) just doors down from Yestercades in downtown Red Bank.

It looks very festive inside with plenty of seating and a selection so vast that you'd have to go back numerous times to taste all of the goodies.

They were giving out delicious samples of jelly donuts yesterday afternoon when I walked in, so that was a nice touch!

They also have delicious looking cakes in case you have a party coming up. And they have delicious looking breads, too.

We wish this Italian bakery from Staten Island the best of luck and much success. Following in their father's footsteps, the old baking techniques and traditions are being preserved by Vincent and Anthony Campitiello. Growing up in the baking business, they have become superb bakers and cake decorators. We welcome you to the neighborhood!
