New Vegan Mexican Restaurant in Bradley Beach
Luna Verde is a wonderful addition to the Jersey Shore.
Since its soft opening this past autumn, Luna Verde has taken off! It's a welcome addition to our area, since vegan restaurants are still not prevalent.
If you like to support local business and enjoy vegan Mexican cuisine, you will love this restaurant.
It has been a dream of owner Eslin Morris (along with her husband Mahonrry, since their lifestyle is vegan and they have raised their son to also appreciate the quality of a vegan lifestyle, to open an eatery of her own where she could express her family's tastes in delicious Vegan fare.
Luna Verde, which has quickly become quite popular among the vegan community, has a lovely dining atmosphere, delicious food (even if you're not Vegan!) and super friendly servers. The presentation is all Eslin, who is an artist in several genres, as well as a poet. Her vision for beauty and quality has always been tremendous.
You may also recognize her face since she has served and managed for many years at other restaurants along the Jersey Shore. Being part of the local restaurant community has always been something she enjoyed.
You'll usually find Eslin on the floor greeting people with her beautiful smile...and you might also catch a glimpse of the couple's sweet, 10-year old son Marel Hidalgo, who already has established quite a career for himself as a musician who has performed around the USA!
The last time I went to Luna Verde we dined with friends (who are also big fans of the restaurant) and ordered many different items from the menu. We loved each and every one of our dishes....and the desserts were SO worth the extra calories!
The food is freshly made using clean, organic ingredients (with gluten-free options), with menu specials that will make you want to go back often to see what deliciousness they have that day!
They even have a 'community bowl' dish for those who want to help the less fortunate, or for those who are in need of a meal:
"Feed yourself & feed your community (If you need financial assistance paying for this dish you may make a minimum donation of $4). If you would like to contribute to someone else, let your server know the amount & we will set it aside. Inspired from the loving people of Café Gratitude in Kansas City, MO."
Whenever I talk about this new addition to the neighborhood I get comments like "Even non-vegans would enjoy! Delicious food is delicious food!" -- Kim from Toms River. And, "This area needed a quality vegan Mexican restaurant and Luna Verde is just that." -- Phil from Asbury Park.
