New Jersey has hundreds of options, but I wanted to know where New Jersey residents would take you on your first date.

With so many incredible choices available to state residents, I'd knew there would be a lot of suggestions, and I wasn't wrong.

Great First-Date Restaurant Choices From North Jersey To South Jersey

New Jersey residents recommended amazing eateries from South Jersey to North Jersey, and everywhere in between. We needed to count up the votes and condense the list.

What we decided to do was split the state in half and give you the top two first-date restaurants in both South and North Jersey. Let's not argue.

Anything south of Ocean County will be considered South Jersey. We'll save the argument about how to break up the state for another day

Rooney's, Long Branch - great dining near the ocean, amazing food, and lots of ambience.

Scarborough Fair, Sea Girt - one of the most charming, delicious restaurants in the state.

The Lobster House, Cape May - it's legendary, the view is amazing, and the food is awesome.

Carlucci's Waterfront, Mount Laurel - beautiful river view and a great outdoor dining section, and the food is awesome.
