A trendy ice cream shop in New Jersey has found a new way to take it to the next level.

The idea for this outstanding frozen treat was born during the COVID-19 days, and now, they can't keep the sweet treats on the shelves.

We contacted our friends at Jersey Freeze to get the full story about Sundae Quarts are available at  Quarts. here's what Matt Cangialosi and Katie DiNonna, owners of Jersey Freeze told us.

We created Sundae quarts in April of 2020. We were shut down by the State of NJ,  and were operating strictly as a takeout and curbside pick up Restaurant and Ice cream parlor.

We created a brand new grab and go Ice Cream Menu which included At home sundae kits, a large variety of homemade Chipwiches , ice cream sandwiches , ice cream cupcakes AND Sundae Quarts.

Our Birthday Cakes are legendary, so it only makes sense that our best selling Sundae Quart is the “Birthday Cake” . It’s essentially a layer sundae with everything that’s in our famous cakes. Loaded with toppings in every bite.

 The History Of Jersey Freeze

Jersey Freeze has been a massive part of our community since 1952, and it attracts some big Garden State celebrities, including legends like Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi.

Jersey Freeze is well-known for more than amazing ice cream. They are also the go-to place for great shakes and food.

Here's a little Jersey Freeze history: Jersey Freeze was founded and opened by the Blackmore family in 1952.

One Of The Jersey Freeze Owners Used To Work There As A Teen

It wasn't until the 1970s that the expansion into ice cream and fast food happened.

Kathy DiNonno began working there as a teenager in 1993. In 2014, she and Matt Cangialosi became the owners of Jersey Freeze.

Six years later, in 2020, Jersey Freeze's second location opened at Bell Works in Holmdel.
