Preparing for Sandy – What You Need [LIST]
An unusual nasty mix of a hurricane and a winter storm that forecasters are now calling “Frankenstorm” is likely to blast most of the East Coast next week, focusing the worst of its weather mayhem around New York City and New Jersey. Here are a list of items that you want to have on hand before the storm.

Your standard first aid kit is a must. Again, another wise item to always have around. Also be sure that all medications are filled and secured.

Make sure your phone is fully charged and plugged in if possible. You never know when you'll lose power. If you don't have a car charger, get one. It's great to have and may be the only way to power back up if we lose electricity. Don't forget, text "SANDY" to 89000 for text weather alerts sent right to your phone.
