Pugapalooza Comes to Asbury Park this Weekend

Pug fun all over town for a great cause this Friday through Sunday!

It's Pugapalooza time at The Wonder Bar. This year marks the 5th Anniversary of Pugapalooza, the brainchild of Founder Connie Breech.

Connie thought up this great idea wile sitting at The Wonder Bar with mainstay Debbie Delisa. The event began as a one-day fundraiser for pugs and pug mixes in need and ballooned into a weekend-long event.

The proceeds from Pugapalooza will benefit PugSquad, a non-profit group which helps tri-state pugs in need and also other Pug rescues throughout the U.S.  This is the third year that this great event has been held for an entire weekend.

Friday night features a Meet n Greet at Dark City Brewery, 1001 Main St. in Asbury Park from 5 - 8 pm. Suggested donation is $5 and the evening features special treats and giveaways. The Asbury Dawg food truck will also be outside. THIS VENUE IS DOG FRIENDLY AND KID FRIENDLY!

Saturday is the main event at The Wonder Bar. It runs from 1 pm - 5 pm and the suggested donation is $10. It will be a day featuring vendors, music, and gift baskets. Feel free to celebrate Cinco De Mayo at Wonder Bar with your festive Sombrero, too!

On Sunday there will be a Pug Brunch for $15 from 11 am - 1 pm, and at 1 pm there will be a "Pink Your Pug Out" Promenade on the 5th Ave. boardwalk that will feature prizes for the "Pinkest" Pug, Pug Couple and Pug Grumble.
