Our Point Pet of the Week was rescued from a shelter in North Jersey by the Monmouth County SPCA, who is keeping him safe until he finds his forever home.

Mufasa is a big mush ball! In fact, he is 18 pounds of adorable!

This loveable cat was transferred to the MCSPCA from an overcrowded shelter. He is a friendly, easygoing boy, very affectionate and snuggly.

He reminds the MCSPCA volunteers of a goofy dog, and you can't help but want to hug him!

Mufasa is about 5 years old and loves the finer things in life, like laps, snuggles, and snacks. He will be a fantastic companion for anyone looking for a new best friend.

Mufasa is an FIV+ cat, which means that he has a weaker immune system than the average cat. As long as he is kept indoors, fed a quality diet, and kept up-to-date with proper vet care, he can live a normal life in both quality and duration, and, in most cases, can live safely with other cats as long as the other kitties are spayed or neutered and the cats don't fight.

Mufasa has lived with other cats and has done fine, but he would also be perfectly content being the king of your house as an only cat!

The only problem the volunteers have seen with Mufasa is that he's a bed hog, lol! He really streteches out when he sleeps, so he might intrude on your side of the bed!
