The co-owner's at Terrace Tavern on LBI are arrested and released while the bouncer remains jailed on charges related to a September incident at a wedding reception where a man suffered serious bodily injury especially to his head.

The incident took place on September 29 around 2:00 am before Long Beach Township Police were dispatched to the Terrace Tavern for a male who sustained serious bodily injury.

First aid, which included chest compressions administered by the bride who was an off duty nurse, was given to the wounded man.

An off duty Beach Haven First Aid member was also on scene and assisted with patient care.

An investigation by Long Beach Detectives found hat the bouncer, Kenneth Widmer, allegedly caused the injury as well as two counts of criminal mischief.

Police say that while conducting their investigation Kenneth along with the bar owner, Michael Sweeney, provided false statements to law enforcement.

The other co-owner of the Terrace Tavern, Toby Sweeney, allegedly withheld evidence pertaining to the incident.

Police had probable cause to charge Widmer with aggravated assault, unsworn falsification to authorities and two counts of criminal mischief.

On October 11, Kenneth was arrested and transported to Ocean County Jail where he was lodged.

On October 17, Toby and Michael Sweeney were placed in custody for the charge of hindering.

They were released shortly after.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crime unit assisted with this investigation.
