The Fantastic Lanoka Harbor All Volunteer Fire Department: Protecting Life and Property
I am glad to be continuing my series “Honoring Jersey Shore Firefighters” with another great local fire department here at the shore. This time around we head to Lacey Township and learn about the history of the Lanoka Harbor Volunteer Fire Department.
The Lanoka Harbor Fire Department is 81 years old, the company was founded in 1940. The Firehouse is located at 2 Warren Avenue, Lanoka Harbor, NJ 08734.
The Lanoka Harbor Fire Department is 100% volunteer and we want to thank all those men and women over the 81 years serving the area.....THANK YOU for your service and bravery, keeping our residents safe. It is simply heroic, that these men and women serve the community on a volunteer basis. It is a dangerous job and their dedication is unbelievable, so again THANK YOU.
The Lanoka Harbor Volunteer Fire Department serves the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey Township, as well as mutual aid into their neighboring section of Forked River. They also serve other municipalities within Ocean County.
In addition to the Fire Department, the Firehouse is also home to the Lacey Township Underwater Rescue and Recovery Team. If you want to possibly join the team or take a tour, call (609) 693-4998 for more information.
Again THANKS to all the residents involved in the Lanoka Harbor Volunteer Fire Department and here’s to another 81 years and many many more......you are fantastic! Stay safe and keep protecting life and property in Lanoka Harbor.
