If you are planning some trick or treating with the kids tomorrow night, you'll want to check out the latest from our Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow.

Dan says there will be some periods of rain throughout the morning and afternoon, but he says there is a possibility of some "pockets of dry weather" from late afternoon and early evening.

So, the timing could be good for trick or treaters, but don't wait too long. Dan expects a burst of heavy rain and gusty winds in the late night hours. Tat probably won't happen until closer to midnight.

But that late night rain will feature gusts up to 50mph, so keep it in mind and don't be surprised if it wakes you up Thursday night. So here is the timeline as it looks so far, of course subject to change, it is after all, weather...

Halloween daytime....some periods of morning and afternoon rain.

Late afternoon into evening...pockets of dry weather

Late night....rain and strong gusty winds, probably around midnight.

Happy Halloween to all at the Jersey Shore, and here's to hoping your trick or treating happens during the pockets of dry weather!
