We all know that every movie can't be a blockbuster, but some are just worse than others. Most of the worst movies ever, according to one report, do not contain New Jersey stars. But one movie with a New Jersey celebrity did make the Top 20 worst movies ever.

The odds are you probably haven't heard of the movie. After all, it's listed as one of the worst movies ever. But there is no doubt that you know this actor, and you probably love him.

The list of the 100 Worst Movie of All Time was put together by 24/7 Tempo, and there was only one major New Jersey connection in the top 40, or bottom 40 movies, depending on how you look at. As a matter of fact, this movie is among the 10 worst in history, according to this list.

So which New Jersey actor has this dubious distinction? It turns out he's a two time Academy Award nominee, and one time Golden Globe winner, and he's starred in some of the biggest movies of all time.

If we tell you he was born in Englewood, that would be a giveaway, right? So, yes John Travolta is the New Jersey actor who starred in the movie listed as the 8th worst movie of all time.

The movie that's getting this bad news is the 2000 Sci-Fi flick Battlefield Earth. It might not have been the best part Travolta ever took. It IMDB, the movie is rated 2.5 out of 10 stars.

Not everyone can be perfect. We heard Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Pulp Fiction, and the Look Who's Talking movies did pretty well, so we're happy to overlook this one part. We're so Jersey proud of John Travolta, Battlefield Earth or not.
