A study has found that when it comes to the water quality at New Jersey beaches, our state ranks #3.

30 states were ranked in the study done by the National Resources Defense Council. The report classified seven New Jersey beaches "superstars" , including Broadway Beach in Point Pleasant Beach, but Beachwood Beach West made the list of "repeat offenders" according to app.com.

According to the article, a lawyer for the National Resources Defense Council's water program, New Jersey "continues to be one of the strong performers". The study found that 10% of samples nationally exceeded guidelines, but that number was only 3% in New Jersey.

This is an important study for New Jersey to get good some grades, and we did. It's nice to rank high on a good list once in a while.
