We made it to April, the weather is slowly warming up, so are we ready for a long range summer weather prediction?

If you believe what the Old Farmer's Almanac has to say, you may not be very thrilled with their conclusions, unless of course you can't wait to use that new umbrella you got for your Secret Santa gift.

Let's start with their thoughts on the next couple of months. they say that April and June will be a little warmer and a little drier than usual. So far so good, right? We always like it when it says what we want to hear.

Now how about the summer? Here are two words you don't want to hear...cooler and rainier. We were good with the spring but if all you can say about summer is "cooler" and "rainier", then you're starting to lose us.

When will it be the hottest? The Old Farmer's Almanac says you'll be cranking up the AC from late June to mid July and then again in early to mid August. And I guess that's not really breaking news, right?

I guess we can all choose whether we like what we hear in the long range forecast enough to buy into it. I choose to remain optimistic and wait until we get a little closer and find out what Dan Zarrow has to say then.
