What’s Your Favorite Hibachi?
I love to take the boys here for dinner!
If you're looking for a superb and unusual dining experience for the family, this is one of my personal favorites.
Growing up, we would go to a special place in Middletown (anyone remember Shiki?) that closed years ago...and, ever since, I have always wanted to find a place that would taste as wonderful.
Many of my friends rave about Sawa, Shogun Legends, and Mizuki. My current favorite is Sumo Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar on Rt. 35 in Wall Township (next to Whole Foods).
Whenever there is a special occasion or when it has been too long in between visits, the boys and I invite a friend or two and reserve seats around one of the tables where the amazing master chefs give you a performance and the most delicious Teppanyaki cuisine.
My favorite dinner is the filet Mignon and scallops. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection, and we love everything from the soup, salad, noodles and fried rice, to the Red Bean ice cream. The sauces and salad dressing (which can vary in flavor from place to place) are scrumptious. And, even using chop sticks, there is not a drop left on any of our plates at the end of our dinner.
I love this Japanese food...and the sushi is incredible, too!
So tell me, what's your favorite Hibachi place? Maybe I'll go try it!
