Have you ever been the victim of a bad parking job?

I recently took a ride to Brookdale Community College with a friend of mine and we were sitting in her parked car (which, for the record, was parked within the lines, straight on.)

As we were chatting in the front seat before getting out of the car, another vehicle came whipping into the spot next to her driver's side at top speed. We looked over only because the vehicle hit the curb in front of the parking space, That's how fast the guy was driving.

When I glanced over a couple of minutes later, he was still in the vehicle. So it wasn't like he was in a rush to get out.

The man (and no, it wasn't a young student) did end up leaving his vehicle before we got out, so once we finally got out of her car, he was gone.

HOWEVER.....my friend couldn't even exit her car on her to walk to the building because of the angle at which he parked (and left) his car! It was only a hand's length from her car at the closest point. (We didn't notice this while we were still in the car or of course we would have said something to him.)

There was also a car parked on the other side of us, so she couldn't even pull her car out of the spot to move it to another space, without risking scraping the side of her car and side mirrors!

We literally had to call the campus police to come and observe what had happened. Since we were heading into the building, we told them we would wait and see if were able to get out of the parking space once we finished on campus, hoping one of the cars would be gone when we got back so that we had room to pull out.

Two hours later, we got back to the car and the jerk was still blocking us. But at least the car on the other side of my friend's car was gone so there was extra room to pull out.

But I mean really. Come on, people. Have a little respect for those around you when you park. Take a moment to straighten out your car. This is ridiculous.
