Widespsread Flu in New Jersey – CDC
It is flu season at the Jersey Shore and according to the CDC latest evaluation, the flu is categorized as "widespread" for the Garden State.
Over a third of the country is dealing with widespread flu including New Jersey and most of the northeast. The CDC's Weekly Influenza Activity Map classifies states with a range of descriptions, from the lowest (no report) to the highest (widespread).
The most recent map on the website is for the week ending January 7th. Each state in America has some flu activity ranging from local to widespread. The map measures only flu activity and does not measure severity of the flu.
