Will We Break Jersey Shore Temperature Record Today?
It's going to be a hot day at the Jersey Shore today, but will it be hot enough to break any records in Monmouth & Ocean Counties?
First, let's talk about what our Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow is saying for today's forecast. He thinks we'll get up to a high of 86.So, Is that going to be enough to break the mark.
It turns out, there is a very good chance that we will, since Dan says the record high on this date for the Monmouth/Ocean County area is the 85 degrees recorded on this date in 1986 in Long Branch.
So, for those summer lovers among us, today is your day. For those who were just starting to enjoy the crisp fall temperatures, it won't get much above 60 tomorrow, although we'll have a cloudy, rainy day.
So, crank up the AC and get ready for a summer day today. By the way, the heat index will make it feel like the low 90's today. Maybe we should be doing the show from the boardwalk this morning!
