One particular project that is continuing is the new Starbucks that is coming to Lacey Township. This is the latest move by Starbucks into Ocean County. There is only one other Starbucks in Southern Ocean County and that is in Manahawkin at Target. This Starbucks is replacing the former Wells Fargo branch site on Lacey Road.

Starbucks is in the process of building its first Toms River location on Hooper Avenue and recently opened a location on Brick Blvd in Brick Township. According to Google, Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse company in the world, with nearly 33,000 retail locations as of the first quarter of 2021.

As they continue work on the new Starbucks in Lacey Township on Lacey Road, they are also looking for local employees. The search for staff at the new location is underway.
