The New Jersey Stars Who Are Among The All Time Coolest TV Characters
There is a list of the "25 Coolest TV Characters of All Time" that everyone is talking about, and one great New Jersey actor has made that list.
Here's the thing. We bet you can name one, but you can't name the other. There are some great performers that have come out of the Garden State, but sometimes one of these names flies just under the radar.
The first New Jersey name on the list is Tony Soprano, from HBO's "The Sopranos". Everything about the character and the actor has New Jersey written all over them.
Gandolfini was born in Westwood, and grew up in Park Ridge. And his drive on the New Jersey Turnpike during The Sopranos intro drove him right into Garden State immortality.
Yardbarker named the ultra-cool Tony Soprano As one of the 25 coolest TV characters in history. You could make the case you'd be afraid not to.
So, what about his other New Jersey star whose character made the list. I love this guy. He's a great actor, and his most well-known character is, in my opinion, one of the great TV characters of all time, cool or otherwise.
We're talking about the great Peter Dinklage, and his masterful portrayal of Tyrion Lannister on the critically acclaimed and beloved Game of Thrones. Super cool show and a super, super cool character.
And yes, Peter Dinklage is a Jersey boy. He was born in Morristown and grew up in the Garden State.
So, New Jersey is well represented on the 25 Coolest TV Characters List. 2 out of 25 ain't bad.
