The second little girl from last week's rescue off the Belmar beach has now passed away.

Our hearts continue to cry for the families of the two cousins, both students at Belmar Elementary School, who have now both died after police had to rescue them from the ocean last Thursday evening.

Mitzy, who was a sixth grader, died that evening...but little Emily, who was a fifth grader, had been clinging to life until she lost her battle yesterday afternoon.

Now Heaven has two beloved angels from Belmar. The town has been rocked by this tragedy.

Support has been pouring in for the distraught families, and if you would also like to help, CLICK HERE.

School may be out for the summer, but the students, teachers, and administrative staff may never look at the ocean the same way again and will always hold in their hearts the memories of these girls.

Please, parents, remind your kids every day to never swim in the ocean when there is no lifeguard present. It's not worth putting your life on the line.
